KeeWee Solutions Inc. (“KeeWee,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides greenhouse gas verification, reporting and data science services, and online verification training. This Privacy Policy explains how KeeWee collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit keewee.ca, contact us, use our services, or create an account on our training platform.

KeeWee is committed to protecting privacy and handling personal information in compliance with the Alberta Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and the Canadian Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), as well as other applicable data protection laws. We treat personal data with the same level of care and protection regardless of where you are located.

What this policy covers

This Policy applies to personal information that KeeWee collects and processes:

  • when you visit keewee.ca or submit an enquiry through it
  • when you create a training account, take a course, or purchase training
  • when you or your organization engage KeeWee for verification, reporting or other services
  • when you interact with KeeWee for support or other communications

Definition of personal information

Personal Information means any information about an identifiable individual, or that is linked or linkable to an identifiable individual. This may include direct identifiers (such as name or email address) and indirect identifiers (such as device information, user activity logs, or metadata associated with user actions).

Information we collect

a. Information you provide

  • Name and business contact details (email, phone, title, organization).
  • Account credentials and authentication information (stored encrypted).
  • Enquiries, support requests, questions and course feedback.
  • Billing details needed to complete a purchase. Card payments are handled by our payment processor; KeeWee does not store full card numbers.

b. Information created when you use our training platform

  • Course enrolments, lesson progress, quiz and assessment results.
  • Certificates issued to you and their verification records.

c. Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser information, IP address, operating system.
  • Log data and activity records (e.g., login time, pages visited).
  • Diagnostic and performance data used to improve the site.

Information your organization shares with us for a verification or reporting engagement is handled under that engagement’s agreement and used solely to deliver the contracted service.

How we use personal information

KeeWee uses personal information to:

  1. Respond to enquiries and provide our services.
  2. Create and manage training accounts, deliver courses, and issue certificates.
  3. Process purchases and keep the records required for accounting.
  4. Monitor and improve site security, reliability, and performance.
  5. Communicate with you about your account, purchases, or engagement.
  6. Analyze usage patterns in aggregated form to improve our site and courses.
  7. Comply with legal, regulatory, accreditation, or contractual obligations.

KeeWee does not sell or rent personal information.

Cookies and analytics

keewee.ca uses cookies and analytics tools to enhance user experience and site reliability. We use:

  • Session cookies for secure sign-in and to keep your cart.
  • Analytics tools (e.g., page views, feature use, error logs) to improve our services.

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may limit site functionality, such as signing in. KeeWee does not use tracking technologies for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling.

Data sharing and disclosure

KeeWee may share personal information only with:

  • Service providers performing hosting, payment processing, email delivery, or authentication (under binding confidentiality agreements)
  • Accreditation and certification bodies, where required to oversee our verification work or training programs
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law or court order; and
  • Business successors in case of a merger, acquisition, or reorganization (with confidentiality safeguards).

We do not disclose your information for marketing or unrelated purposes.

International data transfers

If personal information is transferred outside of Alberta or Canada, KeeWee ensures equivalent protection through:

  • encryption in transit and at rest
  • contractual safeguards; and
  • verification that third-party processors maintain comparable privacy standards.

Data retention and deletion

KeeWee retains personal information only for as long as:

  • necessary to fulfill contractual obligations or provide your account and certificates;
  • required by law, accreditation, or regulatory standards; or
  • needed for legitimate operational or audit purposes.

When no longer required, data is securely deleted, anonymized, or destroyed in accordance with KeeWee’s data retention practices.

Security measures

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:

  • encryption of stored and transmitted data
  • least-privilege access controls; and
  • periodic security reviews.

While no system is completely secure, KeeWee continuously improves its security posture and promptly addresses vulnerabilities.

Your rights

Under Alberta PIPA and PIPEDA, individuals have the right to:

  • access and request correction of their personal information
  • withdraw consent to processing (subject to legal or contractual limits); and
  • inquire about how their information is collected, used, or shared.

Requests can be submitted to info@keewee.ca. We respond to verified requests within 30 days, unless otherwise permitted by law.

Governance and accountability

KeeWee treats privacy as a core business principle. We maintain internal policies, employee training, and oversight to ensure ongoing compliance with privacy and security obligations.

Our Privacy Officer oversees all data protection practices and serves as the point of contact for regulators and clients, reachable at info@keewee.ca.

Updates to this policy

KeeWee may update this Policy periodically to reflect operational or legal changes. The revised version will include an updated date and will be posted at keewee.ca/privacy-policy.

If material changes are made, we will notify account holders by email or a notice on the site.
